This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our video platform.

Plaii AS is the data controller responsible for the handling and processing of data, including data related to our customers, users, and other business contacts.

We will process personal data about you in the role of data processor on behalf of our customers who have entered into an agreement with us to use Plaii (the "service"). If the agreement with us is through an agency, the agency will be the data processor and we will be the sub-data processor.

Information Collection and Use

We only collect personal information from you if you choose to provide it to us, such as by creating an account or submitting a form on our platform. The personal information we collect may include your name, email address, and other contact information. If you ask a question, your name and your request will be sent to the organizer's moderators.

We do not track your activities on our platform or collect any information that could identify you as a user unless you specifically provide it to us in one of the forms on this site.

If you are using our service as a customer, we will gather and store basic name, email address, company name, billing and shipping address, phone number, and payment card details (including card number, expiration date and security code). Your payment-related details are collected and stored by our third-party payment processor on our behalf.

If you are using this website as a user we gather the information you provide when you log in. This information is stored securely on our servers and is deleted when the event is deleted. We are also gathering information for analytic purposes which includes device type, operating system, browser, location, and source of entry. This information is anonymized and can not be used to identify you as a user.

Plaii processes customer data connected to contracts or services, including names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and invoice information. We also maintain data about individuals and companies we interact with, even if there is no formal agreement in place, such as names, email addresses, and phone numbers. In addition, we collect traffic data like IP numbers, traffic logs, logins, and similar events for our service to function properly and security reasons. The processing is necessary for us to deliver the service to you (GDPR art. 6 (1) b). Information about our use of cookies can be found in our cookie policy.

Subcontractors

All of our subcontractors are based in the EU/EEA.

We send our emails through Sendinblue. That means they we will share your email addresses with their platform when we are sending out information to active customers. We will not store your any personal information on their servers. Our servers are hosted by Exoscale and Hetzner. Your information is stored in encrypted databases and can not be accessed by anyone else than a very limited number of Plaii’s personnel.

We send or videostreams trough Ceeblue. They are located in the Netherlands, and our account are locked to only use EU-based servers for delivering livestreams to our customers.

Our technical infrastructure are build on Exoscale, a company based in Switzerland. All our servers there are also Swiss-based, including our master database. Our S3-buckets are also located within Exoscale Datacenter located in Switzerland, where all recordings (if choosen) are beeing stored of livestreams.

Our event-servers are located in Germany, and provided by Hezner, a German datacenter provider. All event data are also duplicated to its own server here and key information are duplicated to the master database in Switzerland.

Plausible is one of our services for gathering statistics about visitors on our webpages. They are EU-based, and a cookieless alternative to other analytic services. All data gathered are anonymous.

Mux Data are our video analytics service. They are a US-based company, but with a EU-sulotion for theyre statitic tool. We have also enabled there option for anonymous data gathering.

Liability

The Service may at times be completely or partially unavailable due to maintenance or other reasons. Provided that The Customer incurs financial loss due to an error or defect of The Service, the Supplier's liability shall be confined to direct and documented losses incurred due to such faults or defects, and be upwards limited to The Customer’s total cost of the last 12 months of The Service.

The Supplier is not responsible for the Customer's use of The Service or any further use of the content created with or that can be linked to The Service.

The Customer shall indemnify The Supplier against all claims set forth by The User and other third parties against The Supplier, in relation to The Customer's use of The Service and The Customer's contractual relationship with The Supplier.

At Plaii, we are committed to protecting your privacy and do not use cookies that identify you as a user. This cookie policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, and how you can control them.

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.

We use cookies to personalize your experience on our platform and to understand how users interact with our site. If you’re not happy with the way we process personal data about you, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.

Personal data breach

Any incidents involving personal data must be promptly reported to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) within 72 hours. We also have a responsibility to inform individuals whose personal data has been affected if there is a risk to their rights.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or related to this privacy policy or our treatment of your personal information shall be resolved in the Oslo District Court.

The customer terms and conditions are regulated by Norwegian law and the Oslo District Court is the court of jurisdiction, cf. the Disputes Act § 4-6.
